Introduction

Welcome to Evo — an intelligent companion for private, on-device conversations. This policy explains how Evo handles information when you use the app.

Evo is developed by Rashira Shashimal, an independent iOS developer based in Sri Lanka. The app is built on a single principle: your data belongs to you, and only you.

What we don’t collect

Most policies start with what they collect. Ours starts with what we don’t — because that list matters more.

• Conversations. Processed entirely on-device by Apple’s Foundation Models. Never transmitted.
• Voice recordings. Speech-to-text happens locally. Audio never leaves your phone.
• Images. Vision analysis is performed on-device. Photos are never uploaded.
• Location. We don’t request or use location data.
• Contacts. We don’t access your address book.
• Analytics. No third-party tracking, no telemetry, no advertising IDs.
• Accounts. No sign-up, no login, no profile.

How Evo works

Evo runs entirely on Apple’s native on-device frameworks. There is no backend server, database, or cloud infrastructure that processes your content.

Frameworks used

• Foundation Models — powers AI conversations on your device.
• Vision — on-device image understanding.
• Speech — converts voice to text locally.
• StoreKit — handles purchases through Apple’s payment system.

Each framework operates under Apple’s privacy standards. We don’t modify or intercept their behavior.

Local data storage

Evo stores certain information locally on your device so the app functions properly. This data never leaves your iPhone.

• Chat history — in a sandboxed area only Evo can access.
• App preferences — settings, theme, and personalization.
• Subscription status — managed by StoreKit for Pro features.

Clear chats in-app or uninstall Evo to remove everything instantly.

Permissions

Evo requests permissions to enable optional features. All are optional — decline any of them and continue using the app.

Review these anytime in iOS Settings › Evo.

Subscriptions

Evo offers an optional subscription, Evo Pro, at $5.99 USD per month, which unlocks advanced features.

• Payments are processed by Apple through StoreKit.
• We never see, receive, or store your payment information.
• Manage or cancel anytime in iOS Settings › Apple ID › Subscriptions.
• Refunds are handled directly by Apple.

Children’s privacy

Evo is intended for users aged 13 and over. Because we collect no personal data at all, we cannot inadvertently collect data from any user, regardless of age.

Third parties

Evo doesn’t integrate with advertising networks, analytics providers, or data brokers. The only external party involved is Apple, through native frameworks and the App Store.

We don’t share, sell, or rent any information — because we don’t have any to share.

Your rights

Because Evo doesn’t collect or store your data on any server, traditional data rights are simplified:

• Access. All your data is on your device, fully accessible.
• Deletion. Clear chats in-app or uninstall to remove everything.
• Portability. Conversations are not locked to any account.
• Objection. Stop using the app anytime — nothing remains on our end.

Changes

We may update this policy to reflect changes in the app, legal requirements, or our practices. Updates will be reflected in the “Effective” date at the top.

For material changes, we’ll provide reasonable notice. Continued use of Evo means you accept the revised terms.
